Tanya Bentham, who is ALL about Medieval embroidery and textiles, will be running this workshop, giving you her expert tutition on the stitches, colours and techniques used to create your own piece of embroidery based on the Opus Anglicanum. From beginner to experienced embroideress, Tanya will help you create you own little piece of medieval magic. The techniques used are those shown in the Bayeux Tapestry. Materials included and kits are available to purchase with hand dyed threads using natural dyes. The workshop runs Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th March from 10am-4pm with a short break for lunch (not provided although we do offer a pot luck lunch for £4.50). Tea/coffee and cake provided to keep you going. You may book one day or both days. These workshops will focus on embroidering faces.
