Ewe & Ply

We are based in the market towns of Oswestry and Shrewsbury in Shropshire where we sell a huge, wonderful range of natural and ethically sourced wool, yarn and fibre from our little shops. Our yarn range includes our very own Shropshire Ply - a woollen yarn traditionally spun from the fleeces of our own flock and other local sheep then kettle-dyed by us in semi-solid colours. We also stock a wide variety of needles, notions, buttons and books.

Spring Cleaning Sale!

We've returned from Wonder Wool full of new ideas and plans.

Thank you to everyone who dropped by to say hello and make a purchase. It was lovely to see old friends and new ones as well.

There are new yarns and notions on the horizon, and as ever space is at a premium in our small shops, so we need to make some room. New Lanark, WYS Croft, Onion Sock, No.4 and No.6 have all been reduced, and there are a couple of end of line bargains to be had as well. Check out the Sale! section and grab yourself a treat :)

Whether you're a knitter, a hooker, or a stitcher, we're sure you will find something wonderful to keep your fingers busy here. There's all the yarn you could wish for, threads, notions of every variety, books of inspiration and entertainment, and we can always make up kits if you find it difficult to make up your mind.

Online orders

Online orders are posted out within 2-4 days, and are occasionally held up by moving stock between shops. Please let us know if your parcel is urgent.
