Workshops begin in  September

Find them under "workshops" in the Search bar if you would like to book online. All of our workshops have had a re-jig and you will now find that we have Crochet School as well as Knitting School. Our big workshops (Fair Isle and Steeking, Brioche, Cables, Mending and Sweater Society) have been broken down into two parts. This means that you can get a grounding in the technique, go away and practice and then come back for more!

We can also arrange one-to-one slots before and after shop opening hours for individual tuition, a brush-up on partly forgotten skills or pattern-wrangling. Please arrange in the shop over the phone or via email.

 

Workshops 2026

Knitting School will resume on 16th September in Oswestry, 17th September in Shrewsbury. The first session is for complete beginners or re-starters while the following lessons are great for learning, developing and improving your knitting confidence. 

Crochet School follows the same format as Knitting School, and runs on the same days in the afternoons.

Brioche 1 (Rising- beginning techniques) runs on 26th September in Oswestry and 7th November in Shrewsbury.

Brioche 2 (Proving - additional increases and decreases plus cable) runs on 10th October in Oswestry and 21st November in Shrewsbury.

Joy of Sox teaches you all the techniques you need to know to knit a pair of socks. As it is our most popular workshop don't delay in booking! Two dates for you to choose from 17th October in Oswestry and 14th November in Shrewsbury.

Fair Isle 1 (beginning techniques) runs on 26th September in Oswestry and 7th November in Shrewsbury.

Fair Isle 2 (focussing on Steeking) runs on 10th October on Oswestry and 21st November in Shrewsbury.

Stitchin’!

Oswestry Stitchin'! runs every other Wednesday evening. No booking required. £3.
