Katherine Keatley will teach you crewel work techniques using a robin design to demonstrate stitches. Crewel work is an embroidery technique associated with the 16th and 17th centuries.
You will be using silk on silk, and while not strictly traditional as crewel work is usually wool on linen it will give you a beautiful embroidery and is something different if you attended the other workshop. There is a range of stitches to work and Katherine will teach all of them so you can work at your own pace and finish your piece at home.
All threads, fabric and needles are supplied but please bring an 8" hoop.
Saturday November 2nd 10am to 4.30pm.
Hot drinks and refreshments are provided but please bring your own lunch
