This spin is a gorgeous blend of local fleeces, each single fleece hand selected by us. It was scoured in Yorkshire then spun in Scotland by New Lanark Mills. With Welsh fleeces going into it, it is a truly British yarn. Traditionally woollen spun, it is bouncy, light and squishily warm. The colours are inspired by the hedgerow plants we see on our walks with the sheep to their summer fields further down the lane and other wonderful hedgerows in Shropshire and Wales. Great for all sorts of garments and accessories, it has great stretch and the colours naturally combine well for stranded colour work. Cables look great in it too! Even large cardigans and jumpers are light and warm compared to other garments of the same weight due to the woollen spin. It feels soft and cosily warm to wear.

I am stretchy and resilient but please hand wash me separately the first time and lay me flat to dry. I can go in the washing machine on a cold wool wash. Love me because I am special and of a limited edition.
Please note that as this is a hand-dyed range there will be fluctuations in colour throughout the skeins. We strongly recommend that you purchase enough for your project as we cannot guarantee to have exactly the same colour if you run out later.
Agaric has now replaced Hagthorn as the bold red with Hagthorn being reddish brown.
