A splendid 1940s pattern that we have added our Ewe & Ply Pattern Notes to. It's a lovely easy stranded knit that is perfect for beginner fair islers and experienced knitters alike. A traditional fair isle pattern, it's bang up to date with today too!
You can use our notes which will help you to knit the top in the round to the underarm where you divide for front and back, or you can ignore the notes and just use the orginal pattern. We've added a chart for you to make life easy.
We dyed a couple of new colours to give this slipover a proper vintage feel and pop! This uses our local Shropshire Ply 2020 4 Ply which is 100% British, non-superwash and hand dyed by us. It is a plump woollen spun yarn perfectly sticky for fair isle knitting. Please do a swatch to check your gauge to avoid mishaps!
