This is an excellent cosy jumper. You can knit it exactly as stated in the original pattern (although we would recommend keeping an eye on the sleeve increases) or you can use our pattern notes to knit it in the round, slightly longer and with sensible sleeve increases. Our pattern notes still give you those iconic 1940s shoulders but more in keeping with the photograph on the original pattern. Using our notes will give a jumper to fit 34" (slight positive ease) to 38" (snug). We recommend starting a sleeve as a "tension square" or doing a proper swatch. It is always worth checking your gauge to avoid later frustration!

400g of Shropshire Ply 2019 DK will give you 19 1/2" of body, if you would like a longer length body, please pick the 500g option.
