Norwegian Wood
Jane designed this hand knitted fair isle cushion cover a few years ago for a trip she tutored on a cruise ship around the coast of Norway. She used traditional Norwegian patterns and added beads to areas to create more interest.
The cushion is made in 3 pieces and is not worked in the round.
Oonagh
Jane designed this cushion cover for a workshop trip to the west of Ireland. As the focus of the trip was the knitting heritage of the Aran Islands, that sit at the mouth of Galway Bay, she chose to use traditional cable stitch designs and textural patterns. To give the cover a more contemporary twist she also added some beads using a slip-stitch method that enables the beads to create a cross pattern.
