The Ewe & Ply Frugal February KAL - what's it all about?

We often feel a bit skint in February, and our spirits are lowred by the grey skies and interminable rotten weather, and we know a bunch of you feel the same. The FF KAL is our antidote to these ills. Every year we pick a pattern especially to use up all the odds and ends of yarn leftover from the previous year's projects. It's guaranteed to be colourful, and making use of what we already have to create something without buying new bring s a warm glow of self-sufficiency and having had something for nothing.

This year's project is Elizabeth Zimmermann's Surprise Jacket, the pattern can be found here, or we can furnish you with a paper copy through the shop. You can choose either and adult, child or baby size.

To help get you going we have a 2 hour informal workshop to guide you through the intial stages and how the jacket works. As well as explaining the initial calculations and alterations, we'll talk you through what yarns could be used, plotting your colour scheme and how to add pockets, alter sleeves and all that sort of thing. The KAL then runs until we've all finished, putting up photos as well go if desired.

Please bring samples of the yarn you wish to use (any gauge), your needles and a notebook.
