A wonderfully stretchy and useful slipover (vest/ tank top). A scant 200g of wool will knit this simple top and using our squishy Shropshire Ply 2020 4 Ply it will stretch to fit 36" and let you breathe!
This is a copy of an original pattern, buy it as a kit with our semi-solid dyed Shropshire Ply or team it with another 4 Ply like Jawoll, Terra, Signature Sock, LegEnds, Tynn Peer Gynt, Jamieson's 2 Ply Jumper Weight, Shetland Heritage (proper vintage colours and a fine 4 Ply) or Spindrift.
This is one of those wartime patterns that are easy to follow, put down and pick up again. It has an easy rhythm of stitches that relax your brain; it doesn't require too much concentration, just enough to calm your thoughts. Please take the time to do a tension square and work out your gauge to ensure a good fit.
