A lovely beanie design by Outi Kater. Pattern and all the wool you need.
Herring were once called the "silver darlings" and provided work up and down the coasts and islands of Britain for the "herring girls". This beanie celebrates the fish that was a livelihood for coastal communities from the Baltic Sea to the Atlantic ocean and beyond. Nineteen stylized herrings swim in the sea that ripples in jewel colours of teal, green and blue, coming together at a 16 point compass rose at the top. A beautiful stranded knitting pattern.
