Ewe & Ply

We are based in the market towns of Oswestry and Shrewsbury in Shropshire where we sell a huge, wonderful range of natural and ethically sourced wool, yarn and fibre from our little shops. Our yarn range includes our very own Shropshire Ply - a woollen yarn traditionally spun from the fleeces of our own flock and other local sheep then kettle-dyed by us in semi-solid colours. We also stock a wide variety of needles, notions, buttons and books.

Full on for the Festive season!

The fields around us are filling with lambs and daffodils, and there has even been a hazy sunshine to brighten things up.

We have lots of new workshops dates available and all are listed on the website (putting 'workshops' in the search bar is the quickest route). Amongst the usual offerings of a great variety of knitting techniques and beginners crochet we have felting workshops from Ruth Packham and Tilly Teadance, and embroidery from Katherine Keatley.

Whether you're a knitter, a hooker, or a stitcher, we're sure you will find something wonderful to keep your fingers busy here. There's all the yarn you could wish for, threads, notions of every variety, books of inspiration and entertainment, and we can always make up kits if you find it difficult to make up your mind.

Online orders

Online orders are posted out within 2-4 days, and are occasionally held up by moving stock between shops. Please let us know if your parcel is urgent.
