Ewe & Ply

We are based in the market towns of Oswestry and Shrewsbury in Shropshire where we sell a huge, wonderful range of natural and ethically sourced wool, yarn and fibre from our little shops. Our yarn range includes our very own Shropshire Ply - a woollen yarn traditionally spun from the fleeces of our own flock and other local sheep then kettle-dyed by us in semi-solid colours. We also stock a wide variety of needles, notions, buttons and books.

Hello Knitting Season!

The days are already shorter and the temperature has definitely dropped, so if you are the sort of knitter/hooker that dances off to the garden in the warmer months, its time to slide back to your cosy spot and wool fiddling!

There are new lines of yarns coming in. We've had Morris from West Yorkshire Spinners so far, and there is a treat to come in from Rowan, and after that, well you'll just have to wait and see!

Our workshop season has kicked off in style with Knitting School being shadowed by Crochet School for the first time, and later on we will have our first Tunisian Crochet class as well. Find out more by putting "workshops" into the search bar.

Online orders

Online orders are posted out within 2-4 days, and are occasionally held up by moving stock between shops. Please let us know if your parcel is urgent.

Closed Monday and Thursday.

Our Stitchin' evening in October will be the 28th only, 6.30 - 8.30pm in Oswestry.
